Programme

Unified Sports with refugees

Unified Sports brings people with and without intellectual disabilities together on the same team. Special Olympics Cameroon runs this programme with refugees.

Training and playing together is a quick path to friendship and mutual understanding. On the field, labels fade away: only teammates remain.

With refugees, sport can become a meeting point with host communities, and give people with intellectual disabilities a full place in that shared life.
