Partners

No Special Olympics programme moves forward alone. Around the world, partners make training, competitions and health activities possible for athletes.

What partners do

In a Special Olympics programme, partners provide what athletes need to train and compete: equipment, venues, transport and the organisation of competitions. They also support athletes’ health, making screenings and prevention activities with families possible.

Their support gives athletes visibility. Every match and every event brought before the public shows what people with intellectual disabilities can do. That is how attitudes change, at school, at work and across the community.
